Born in Paris in 1971, Rakel Wajnberg lives and works in Boulogne Billancourt, close to Paris. Rakel Wajnberg draws and paints since her early childhood. Passionate about fashion, drawing, traveling and most of all painting, she uses canvas to share her passions with her viewers.

She studied fashion at the Esmod school and this is where she took the habit of not throwing anything, as everything can be reused one day: a button, some pins, an old piece of lace. Rakel Wajnberg creates works of art centered around iconic figures of cinema and fashion such as Paul Newman, Marilyn Monroe, Al Pacino, Brigitte Bardot, Sophia Loren, Serge Gainsbourg, Kate Moss.

How to immortalize them? With great joy, the artist uses different mediums to allow the imagination to travel with the help of different supports and techniques… She wants to touch the viewers, to stir emotions in them, the nostalgia that lies in every one of us. She creates visual flashbacks. Rakel Wajnberg‘s new works use an iconic signature: the Malab’art’s.
